The Pocket Gallery is a small exhibit space in Clifford Carl Hall, on the main floor of the Royal BC Museum. Currently displaying the work of famed BC artist Emily Carr, the gallery features seven stunning reproductions of her work and videos of Royal BC Museum staff discussing Emily Carr on This Week in History.
The Royal BC Museum and BC Archives proudly cares for the world’s most extensive collection of materials by the iconic artist Emily Carr. The provincial collection features over 100 paintings, more than 1,000 drawings as well as diaries , notebooks, scrapbooks, letters and manuscripts that span her entire career. Emily Carr was inspired by art and villages of First Nations and celebrated for her vivid depictions of British Columbia.
