National Day For Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 is Canada’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

Royal BC Museum honours and remembers the Indigenous children taken from their families, their communities, and their cultures through the residential school system. We honour those who did not return home, and we honour those who survived.

The Royal BC Museum is located on the traditional territories of the Lukwungen speaking people, today represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We are grateful to live on these lands.
