Research Project Profiles

Royal British Columbia Museum researchers are involved in many ongoing research projects, often in partnership with colleagues and communities from British Columbia and around the world.  Our activities connect contemporary inquiry and exploration with diverse collections to generate shared knowledge about the world we live in. Whether we’re working to support communities’ needs; discovering new, sometimes invasive, species; unlocking the historical, cultural and artistic significance of the collections; or developing new conservation strategies, our deep knowledge—combined with the specimen, artifact and archival collections at the museum and archives—gives us a unique perspective on understanding  British Columbia.
