Come and listen to youth fiddlers from across British Columbia perform within Old Town of the Becoming BC gallery. 

This ensemble is part of a new three year project that gives teens an opportunity to connect across communities and learn old-time tunes and accompanying dances.  The project is under the guidance of Daniel Lapp and the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

Maya Camp

Jaguars and jungles and pyramids, oh my! Explore Maya history and culture in a camp like no other. Activate your children’s curiosity with ancient artifacts, playful activities and exciting field trips, inspired by our feature exhibition, Maya: The Great Jaguar Rises.

This week of camp is primarily designed for kids ages 10-14, but there are a limited number of spots open for ages 7-9. Please contact Chris O'Connor to register if your child is 7-9.

This morning camp is an opportunity for the littlest archaeologists among us is to explore Maya culture. Through games and stories connected to this fascinating civilization, our play-based camp will be both surprising and fun.

Join Provincial Carillonneur, Rosemary Laing, for a live recital. Music will feature songs written for the carillon, as well as Canadian folk tunes, and popular songs. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the music from the Native Plant Garden.
