Girl Guides in the Archives with Kate Heikkila

This special session is created in partnership with Girl Guides Canada

Kate Heikkila, archivist at the BC Archives, will lead a special session where we travel through time exploring documents and photographs. Kate will share info about her career as an archivist and show some of of the photos and documents about Girl Guides within the BC Archives, as well as present an activity.

Nature Detectives with Jana Stefan

Phenology is the study of how the changing seasons affect the plants, animals and weather of a particular ecosystem or location.

Join special guest Jana Stefan, exhibit artist at the Royal BC Museum, for some sleuthing in order to observe what is blooming, hatching or otherwise changing in the natural world around (or inside!) our homes. You'll then be able to use your creativity and artistic skill to record those observations on your very own phenology wheel.
