Friends of the BC Archives Lecture
Presented by Glen A. Mofford
Glen will give an illustrated talk based on his new book on the research behind his book and its contents, including some familiar buildings and landmarks. He will describe what took place in them during the days of 5-cent beers, smoky saloons and swinging doors, and touch on Prohibition in BC, specifically in Victoria. Glen will also discuss his current research project on the beer parlours of Greater Victoria.
This month will celebrate the animals of Halloween. Bats, owls and spiders will creep and crawl their way through the museum. Don’t miss our annual Wonder Sunday Halloween on October 30.
This Halloween we are going Hollywood for our annual adult only after hour’s party. Explore the galleries, themed to different horror films, get down to live music and take part in interactives. Featuring a cash bar and nibbles for sale from Truffles Catering.
