Join Pacific Opera Victoria as they take over the Royal BC Museum, both inside and out. You'll find Rebecca Gray and Mike Fan in unexpected spaces, sharing with us the joy of opera.

Join volunteers from the Royal BC Museum at Fisherman's Wharf for World Oceans Day celebrations hosted by Eagle Wing Tours and the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. This educational, family-friendly event is a great time to learn about all things ocean-related. Look for the Royal BC Museum's tent and giant barnacle interactive and come by and learn all about how barnacles eat.
Meet and hear from the authors, Joe Martin Tla-o-qui-aht canoe-maker and former museum curator Alan Hoover about their collaboration on the book Making A Chaputs: The Teachings and Responsibilities of a Canoe Maker. The book describes the making of a dugout canoe illustrated with graphics and photographs. A short filmed called ƛaʔuukʷiatḥ Dugout Canoe (Tla-o-qui-aht Dugout Canoe) will also be screened.
Join us by the Seashore Dirorama for a family-friendly drop-in program, in partnership with Seaquaria Ocean Education. During this fun and interactive session, we will learn all about our intertidal ecosystem!
Are you a boat brainiac, a marine mammal master or trivia enthusiast? Come join us for a free Campfire Oceans Trivia at SMONEĆTEN Campground co-Hosted by the Royal BC Museum, Seaquaria and Parks Canada. Non-campers are welcome!
If you like to chart your course before setting sail, there will be 30 questions in six categories: Audio Clues, True or False, Literary Trivia, It’s all Latin to Me, General Knowledge and Salish Sea Splash. This will be a drop in event with signs and staff to lead you to the event as you arrive.
Join educators from the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition and explore the new giant floor map called Ocean, Freshwater and Us. The floor map is a result of a new national ocean literacy strategy for Canada which launched last spring and is part of the national launch and coordination of Oceans Week Canada.

BATS: Out of the Darkness is an exhibit developed by Kelowna Museums, together with community partners, that aims to bring the bats of British Columbia ‘out of the darkness and into our consciousness.’
Learn to write a traditional Ukrainian Easter Egg, "pysanka", under the guidance of Dawn and Olga Lang.
Through instruction, demonstration and printed hand outs, you will make and take home two pysanky along with new skills and knowledge.
