Spring Break Day Camp: Wildlife Photographer for a Day!

Early bird registration for Royal BC Museum and IMAX® Victoria members from January 28 - February 1.

This spring break we have partnered with Eagle Wing Tours to offer your kids a unique opportunity to be a wildlife photographer for a day. This exciting and educational one-day camp begins with a private, guided tour of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Royal BC Museum. Campers will learn what makes an award-winning wildlife photograph with an expert photographer. Next, kids will visit the Royal BC Museum’s Natural History Gallery to learn about wildlife in BC and to practice their wildlife photography skills. In the afternoon campers will join Eagle Wing Tours on their semi-covered catamaran for a wildlife watching tour and a chance to capture their own photos (hopefully!). Following the tour, campers will return to the museum to end the day with a Giant Screen experience of Blue Whales at IMAX® Victoria. Sorry adults, but this camp is just for the kids!

  • For kids ages 9-12
  • Campers are asked to bring their own cameras (with a strap to attach around your wrist or neck.)
  • A small number of museum iPads are available for those that don’t have access to a camera.
