Learn more about government’s intention to modernize the museum to protect our historic holdings and provide better access to our collections.
Using the taxidermy animals from the Royal BC Museum’s handling collection as inspiration, participants will explore diverse artistic mediums to craft their own three-dimensional pieces. Kids can opt between working with polymer clay or cardboard box paper to sculpt their unique 3D animals.

About the instructor:
Passionate about children's creative growth, Tasnova Zerin Haque has taught art in Bangladesh's IB World School and led a painting program for kids in the British Council and ICCA Test Center in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She is currently pursuing an MA in Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Victoria, and holds an MFA from the Nanjing University of the Arts in China. Her art has been featured in MVIBE (USA), BOOMER (UK), and THE GREAT WALL magazine (CHINA). Tasnova loves nurturing young artistic minds and inspiring kids to become lifelong learners of art.
