Geodiversity Fest

Celebrating Everything That Makes and Shapes the Earth

UNESCO International Geodiversity Day is a worldwide celebration, bringing people together each year to promote the many aspects of geodiversity.

Join us on October 5 for a FREE, fun-filled day featuring guest exhibitors, speakers, and an interactive kid zone for the young geodiversity enthusiasts in your life! Geodiversity Fest will be taking over the main floor of the museum and visitors will have the opportunity to interact with experts and ask questions, deepening their understanding of this fascinating field.

If you find yourself asking, "What is geodiversity?" then this event has you covered! With over 10 exhibitor displays from various local experts, you'll learn all about the 'non-living portion of the planet', including palaeontology, the study of fossils; marine geology, the study of the history and structure of the ocean floor; seismology, the study of earthquakes and seismic waves that move through and around the Earth, and much more!
