Gallery Highlights Tour

From gold rushes to temperate rainforests, British Columbia’s past and present is vast and diverse. Join one of our knowledgeable educators for a highlights-only tour through the museum’s immersive Human and Natural History galleries.

Step into towering coastal forests, listen for elk calls, and spot a hidden cougar in the Natural History gallery. Travel back 80 million years to subtropical Vancouver Island and meet the woolly mammoth. In the Human History gallery, we will walk the wooden sidewalks of Old Town and learn about the Gold Rush of 1858 before climbing aboard Captain Vancouver’s H.M.S. Discovery.

This tour offers a quick but rich overview of our most iconic displays—perfect for first-time visitors or those short on time.

Meet at the top of the escalator on the 3rd floor.
