After Hours: Maker Space

Step into the vibrant world of mid-century modern design at our maker’s space event! Begin your journey in the feature exhibition Canadian Modern featuring innovative modern designs from mid-century homeware to a psychedelic vintage dress. Explore the legacy of iconic Canadian design and discover how great products are designed and made. You’ll meet and talk to contemporary local lighting and furniture designers A Light Studio, Mike Randall Design and Atelier Dimo, presented in partnership with Design Victoria, the city’s festival for design and creativity.

Immerse yourself in the iconic aesthetics of the mid-20th century while engaging in a variety of hands-on activities designed to inspire creativity and celebrate this influential era. Join us for an adult only night where history and imagination collide in a captivating exploration.

The Details

  • Light snacks included with ticket. Drinks available for purchase.
  • Event tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door.
  • 19+ event. Two pieces of ID, including one photo ID required for entry.
  • Members receive early bird tickets and a 10% discount. Current members sign in. New members sign up.

After Hours events are 19+. Two pieces of valid government ID is required for entry. At lease one piece of ID must be a photo ID. All bags entering the museum are subject to inspection. Images may be taken at the event and may be used by RBCM for promotional purposes.
