BC Beaches: Life on the Shoreline

With over 27,000 km of shoreline, British Columbia boasts some of the most abundant and varied coastal habitats in the world. From rocky outcrops, to estuaries, to intertidal pools, to modern dockyards - there is no shortage of places for things to live on the edges between land and sea. The Royal BC Museum's two newest curators, Dr. Joel Gibson (Entomology) and Dr. Henry Choong (Marine Invertebrates) will be speaking about the bizarre and diverse animals found in BC’s coastal habitats. No hip waders required.
