Museum After Hours: Orcas!

After Hours
Join us for a new all-ages series designed to welcome you to the museum, after hours.

Orcas!
This After Hours event dives deep into the world of orcas. Join us as we explore the Orcas: Our Shared Future exhibit in new and exciting ways. Don't miss this last chance to hang with the pod before Orcas swim away on March 31st.

What you can expect:

  • Listen to live music from Brendan Wong and Craig Matterson.
  • Connect with educators from Ocean Networks Canada and Surfrider Foundation Vancouver Island.
  • Learn from the Curator of Vertebrate Zoology, Dr. Gavin Hanke, as he answers all your orca related questions.
  • Meet the writer of the exhibition, Mark Leiren-Young, as he provides some behind the curtain details of the making of the exhibition.
  • Make collage art inspired by the pop culture section of the exhibition.

Your ticket for this event includes access to the Orcas: Our Shared Future feature exhibit only. Other areas of the museum will be closed. No food or drink will be available but you can get your fill of friendly cetaceans.
