Manni Franz from the Musée de l'Homme, Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in Paris will be providing a special presentation providing details about a forthcoming exhibition at the musée de l'Homme, Paris (France) on a World History of Body Piercing. 

About the Speaker

Franz Manni (1973) studied Biology and Genetics at the University of Ferrara, Italy. After a PhD project in Population Genetics (2000, same university), he became Assistant Professor in Genetics at the National Museum of Natural History of Paris (France) where he conducts multidisciplinary research involving demography, genetics and linguistics. From 2008 to 2013 he has been the Executive Editor of the Journal Human Biology (Wayne State University Press, Detroit, MI) and, since 2013, he is Scientific Commissioner at the Musée de l’Homme, Paris.

New interests brought new adventures, including a second PhD degree in computational linguistics (2017, University of Groningen, the Netherlands) and the scientific responsibility of reorganizing an exhibition space at the Musée de l'Homme: the Balcony of Sciences.
