The Archaeology of Spaces: Home Learners Workshop Series

Archaeologists find and collect objects in order to learn more about past societies. But what about the spaces they came from? What can they tell us about their societies? And what enables structures to endure in some locations, but not others?

In this fall home learners block, over four weeks, we will explore the unique spaces left behind by the ancient Egyptians. We will examine the preservation of structures and how environmental factors impact their endurance, especially in contrast to the conditions in other areas across the globe. Home learners will also have an opportunity to create their own space or structure that should stand the test of time.

Sessions are November 16, 23, 30 and December 7
