Collect/Connect/Correct

Home Learners Workshop Series

April 9, 16, 23 and 30

Museums collect objects and specimens to better understand who we are and where we are in the world. In this way, stuff matters. But people do as well. Who makes the decisions on what to collect? What are the ethics of collecting? How is data from collection material interpreted and communicated to the public?

In this spring Home Learners block, we will dig deep into the Natural History collection at the Royal BC Museum, investigating the people and things that help tell the story of British Columbia. Home Learners will also have an opportunity to make their own collections and tell their own stories.
