Learn more about government’s intention to modernize the museum to protect our historic holdings and provide better access to our collections.
Working in partnership with the Punjabi Intercultural History Advisory Committee, the South Asian Studies Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley and the David Lam Centre at Simon Fraser University, the Royal BC Museum invited members of Punjabi communities from the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island to stage an intervention in the Becoming BC galleries' logging displays and reframe the historical narrative to include their poignant stories of logging and forestry in British Columbia.

in the logging exhibition as community members inserted their stories into the gallery.
