Modernization
Learn more about government’s intention to modernize the museum to protect our historic holdings and provide better access to our collections.
Explore the beauty of watercolour painting, inspired by the collections of the Royal BC Museum. Kids will learn about fundamental sketching techniques, selecting an animal from the Natural History Gallery to draw on paper. Returning to the studio, we’ll breathe life into these sketches using the delicate medium of watercolours, transforming them into stunning animal portraits. The completed artworks will be displayed outside the Natural History Gallery, showcasing the creativity and skill of the artists.
For kids ages 9-12.
