Biodiverse BC: Research Workshop

An event designed for provincial, federal and municipal workers

You are cordially invited to join the Royal BC Museum staff for a participatory workshop to discuss the past, present and possible future of collaborative research between museum natural history staff and partners.

Many of the collections, research and learning staff in the museum have a long history of carrying out projects conducted in partnership with provincial, federal and municipal government agencies as well as non-governmental groups. This work includes biodiversity surveys, specimen identification, vouchering, scientific publication, data sharing and training.

Let's all come together to discuss how these projects have worked in the past, our current work and what we can plan for the future. The workshop will include tours of natural history collections and research spaces. We will also come together to share input and formulate plans to maintain and expand collaboration between the museum and our provincial partners as we move towards a new collection and research facility in Colwood, BC.
