Art Class for Adults - Abstract Forest Painting

After spending time in the Natural History Gallery sketching forest scenes, participants come back to the classroom to create an acrylic painting, learning about abstraction through using shape, line and colour inspired by the artwork of Canadian artists Emily Carr and Isabel McLaughlin.

These classes are designed for students aged 16 years and older.

Kudzu Studio is a Victoria-based fine art studio originally founded in North Vancouver in 2012, offering children, teens, and adults alike a variety of opportunities to engage in meaningful and exciting art experiences.

Our art projects are always processed based, so students can feel free and uninhibited to explore their creativity, ideas and interests. Our main goal is to offer eye opening experiences that build self-confidence and encourages original self-expression. We introduce historical and contemporary artists as inspiration, along with some unusual and surprising art practices thrown in for good measure.
