Struggling with achieving realistic figures in oils? Or wondering how colour choices can transform your painting? Bring your oil painting questions to this art clinic where artist Chrystal Phan will share practical tips to guide your practice. Participants are encouraged to send questions or photos of their painting issue by May 18th to be shared and discussed with the group. Chrystal will suggest potential solutions and resources.
If time allows, additional questions brought up during the session will be addressed. If you’ve just started oil painting or have been stuck on an issue for years, this event is for you. All levels are welcome in this supportive group setting so participants can learn together.

Two of Chrystal Phan’s paintings have recently been accepted into the Royal BC Museum collections. Pool Party and My Still Life are also featured on the museum’s Learning Portal. As an emerging artist, Chrystal successfully received two Canada Council for the Arts Project Grants and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. Always seeking to improve her craft, she last attended a workshop and received private mentorship with New York Academy of Art alumni Alyssa Monks and Steven Assael, respectively. Chrystal’s passion for learning has meant relentless research and experimentation. She looks forward to sharing what she has discovered so far with other passionate oil painting enthusiasts.
