BC Fiddle Orchestra

Join the BC Fiddle Orchestra live in Clifford Carl Hall on the ground floor of the museum this Family Day for a fantastic free live performance.

The BC Fiddle Orchestra began in 1994 with a small group of talented and enthusiastic young violin players from Daniel Lapp's teaching studio in Victoria. The group was formed in response to an offer for Daniel to perform in the Opening Ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games. This event drew a crowd of 60,000 people and since then BCFO has performed at numerous festivals and ceremonies throughout the province. Dozens of young fiddlers, many of whom are now professional musicians, have learned the 'art of fiddling' during their apprenticeship in the BCFO.
