NEW DAY AND TIME! Join us for this special edition of RBCM@Outside as we join forces again with Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants, this time for BackyardBio! For the month of May, Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants is encouraging the public, and especially classrooms, to get outside to observe and photograph or sketch the natural world, then share what you find on iNaturalist. Join curators Dr. Gavin Hanke and Dr. Joel Gibson from the Royal BC Museum as we demonstrate how fun and easy it is to participate in BackyardBio. Bonus: You will hone your scientific observational skills too! Check out the Royal BC Museum profile on iNaturalist here. To take part in BackyardBio create an account at INaturalist.org. Then join the backyardbio project at INaturalist.org/projects/backyardbio or for more information look here. It’s free, and just one click to join. Being part of BackyardBio means your observations will contribute to real citizen science and you'll be able to see other wildlife images shared from other citizen scientists from around the world! For younger nature enthusiasts or those who don’t want to disclose the exact location of their observations, try the easy to use Seek by iNaturalist.
