Modernization
Learn more about government’s intention to modernize the museum to protect our historic holdings and provide better access to our collections.
Join learning program developer and RBCM@Outside host Liz Crocker and Dr. Gavin Hanke, curator of vertebrate zoology, for a 30-minute dive into iNaturalist to learn how you can add your voice to science. The Royal BC Museum recently joined iNaturalist, a global online resource to document nature. We use iNaturalist for our own research and also to contribute our expertise in identifying the flora and fauna of BC and other parts of the world. Learn how you can use iNaturalist as tool on your own, or, if you’re a parent or educator, how to use the platform in or outside the classroom or home. If you are curious about community science, iNaturalist is a great way to join the effort to document biodiversity.
