What does “family” mean to you? Visit us on Family Day with your family members (of birth or of choice) to celebrate the idea and explore your provincial museum.
Join us at our annual photo station – featuring a mystery animal specimen – from 1 to 3 pm. We’ll take and print photos of you and your family next to a mounted animal from our Natural History collection.
What’s this year’s featured animal for the family portrait? Come find out!
While you’re here, stroll through Old Town and reacquaint yourself with the little details that you always loved as a child.
Visit the Natural History gallery to take a selfie in front of any of our classic dioramas.
And head to the First Peoples gallery to learn more about the Indigenous peoples of BC – and (from 11 am to 4 pm) give us your family’s feedback on the future of the Indigenous Summer Arts Studio.
Last—but not least—please enjoy the 2020 Wildlife Photography of the Year feature exhibition, open from 10 am to 5 pm.
Admission is free this Family Day, and for this we gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.
