Victorian Fashion
In this crash course we dive deep into Victorian fashion with expert costume designer, Joanka Micol Medda. On the first day, Micol will take you on a theoretical journey through Victorian fashion and you will venture behind the scenes to see highlights from our fashion collection. On the second day you will begin designing your own hand bag, inspired by the collections and draft your pattern. On the third and final day, you will complete making your hand bag, yours to treasure.
As you will be designing and making your own hand bag, you should have some basic knowledge of how to draw a pattern and hand sewing skills - we are going old school, so no electric sewing machines for us!
As part of your fees we will provide you with pattern paper, fabric, threads, and various finishes to create your design.
You should bring your phone or camera to capture details from the collection, your own fabric scissors and a sewing kit (needles, thimble, etc).
