Egyptian Art Prehistory to Middle Kingdom (AVHS355A) students from the University of Victoria will present posters exploring various artifacts and concepts from the Egypt: Land of Pharaohs.
Students will be on hand to discuss their posters, make connections and spark ideas on November 26 and November 29.

The Egyptians had a vivid understanding of the afterlife and rich, complex rituals to ensure the soul (called the Ka) arrived there.
Join us for a mock Egyptian funeral, organized by Camosun College’s Anthropology of Death class. In exploring the various steps of the Egyptian funeral process, you will learn about the importance of mummification, why particular grave goods were included in the tomb and the elaborate ceremonies that helped transform the mortal pharaoh into a divine ancestor prepared for a journey to the afterlife and an eternity spent there.
Join Royal BC Museum Associate Registrar, and Military and Home Front Historian, Paul Ferguson on a two hour, three kilometre traipse about Victoria to discover this city’s connection to World War I. We’ll stop at significant buildings and locations and end up at the BC Legislative buildings.
Wear suitable footwear and be prepared for rain.
Ages 12 and up.

This tour will focus on our mammal collection and how these collections help us to learn about our province.Tours are limited to 10 people. Celebrate Archives Week with a pint during our traditional British style pub quiz. Questions will relate to our collections or BC History, but you don't have to be an expert in either to join in the fun! Bring a team or join a group when you arrive. The quiz will take place in Old Town in the Becoming BC Gallery.

As a way of sharing learning, students from St. Michael's University School (Middle School) will be presenting their student research in the Natural History Gallery.
This pop-up exhibit will showcase inquiry projects focusing on animal adaptation. The students will be present to share their learning and engage in conversations with visitors.
