John Lennon’s iconic 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Touring Limousine (RBCM 992.66.2) is on display in the Royal BC Museum’s glass lobby now until April 30, 2020. 

Lennon purchased the car in December, 1964; it was delivered to him in June, 1965. When Lennon ordered the car, he did not yet have his driver’s license.

It was originally painted “valentine black” and was the largest model made by Rolls-Royce with all options and many custom orders.

It’s time to celebrate his passage out of the Ice Age and into middle age with a Mammoth-sized birthday party! Join us in the Natural History Gallery Sunday, Jan. 26^th from 12- 4 pm for an all-ages event that will include music, crafts, an educational “animation station,” and an hourly chance to win one of five stuffed Woollies!

Jessica Yue joined the City of Contemporary Dance Company and Hong Kong Traditional Dancing after graduating from the Hong Kong Baptist University. Since 1997, she has been an instructor to many dancers of all ages and experience levels in Vancouver, BC. Jessica strongly believes in the promotion of cultural interchanges through lively presentations, public seminars and workshops.
