Draveurs sur un radeau aux rapides des Chats

Reproduction of a carving representing log drivers bringing down a raft in a log slide at Chats Falls. The invention of the slide and rafts for transporting lumber brought strong growth to the logging industry in the Ottawa region and in other regions of Quebec. The area rapidly became settled, forever transforming the face of the region. Reproduced around 1978 (original created around 1870).
