Ain’t nothin’ old-fashioned about this Vintage Valentines party!

Posted on February 11, 2020

Put down those roses. Step away from that box of chocolates. You can definitely do better for your best-beloved this Valentine’s Day—make a date for Night Shift: Vintage Valentines!

On Friday, February 14, the Royal BC Museum’s ever-popular adult-only party returns with a retro take on romance. It’s a provocative and thought-provoking evening that blends bodacious good times (burlesque, anyone?) with intimate access to museum staff, collections and unconventional learning opportunities (sex talks with scientists!).

You can dance the night away with Hank Angel in Old Town.  Chill out with Sarah Osbourne and Elder Sister Plum, and enjoy vintage vinyl soul, funk and disco from DJs db Chessa and Hristo.

Sip and nibble while you explore the galleries—the catering is cutting edge and you’ll be among the first to take in the new Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition!

Strike a pose in the photo booth, create your own vintage valentine at the craft station, and play our version of the 1960s Newlywed Game to see how well you really know your date.

Check out the complete schedule on our Facebook page, then grab your tickets—and your ID!—and head to the Royal BC Museum at 8 pm on Feb. 14 for this 19+ evening.

Tickets are $49.95 + taxes; 10% discount for members. Food and beverages from Toque Catering will be available for sale at the event. See you there!
