VICTORIA, BC—Today, the Royal BC Museum announced it will reopen the IMAX Victoria theatre on Friday, September 3, 2021.
“The IMAX Victoria theatre is an integral part of the Royal BC Museum, a beloved feature of the neighbourhood and a valuable venue for local film lovers,” says Erika Stenson, A/Vice President of Museum Operations at the Royal BC Museum. “We know film buffs, especially IMAX Annual Passholders, will be thrilled by this news, and we thank them for their patience and loyalty.”
The Royal BC Museum had temporarily closed the IMAX Victoria theatre to the public in November, 2020, to comply with COVID-19 public health orders.
The Royal BC Museum will automatically extend the term of all current IMAX annual passes to March 31, 2022 to provide value to Annual Passholders.
The Royal BC Museum will update the public about upcoming film schedules in the weeks to come.
