Discover the spindle whorl, a significant Indigenous tool and technology used by First Nations' peoples in what is now known as British Columbia. In this program, meet Steven, Indigenous Learning Program Developer who will share and discuss the cultural importance of the spindle whorl while highlighting three to four traditional weaving techniques practiced by BC First Nations’ artists. The presentation will be enriched with visual support, including objects, images, and video, offering a deeper understanding of these timeless practices.
