Catherine Amelia (Amy) Helmcken 1855 - 1922Amy Helmcken married George Archibald McTavish in December 1877. They had five children, all born before the 1890. They were John Archibald (1878-1929), Margaret Cecelia (1879-1964); Duncan Douglas, 1881-1967; Claus Sebastian (1884-1962 and Dorothy Olivia 1889-1972. Catherine (Amy) died at the age of 67. Four of her children lived into the 1960s and Dorothy was alive for the 100th anniversary of the results of one of her father's trips, British Columbia's entry into Canada. |
