Fieldtrippers: Owl Outing (CANCELLED)

British Columbia is home to 15 of the 16 species of owls that occur in Canada, and many occur here in the Capital Region. Join Royal BC Museum biologists Darren Copley and Claudia Copley on an owl prowl to a local natural area. We will search for some of the common wintering species in our region, and even try to call one (or more) in to view in a spotting scope. You’ll learn to identify the different species by sight and sound, as well as information on their natural history. Please wear quiet clothing and bring along a flashlight.

Suitable for ages 12 and up

*Space is limited to 20 participants, so please pre-register for this program here.
