Museum Happy Hour: Indi-genius

Drink, eat, meet and explore. Join us after work on select Thursdays for themed happy hours in one of our core galleries.

Indi-genius
We've partnered with our friends from Open Space to bring you this evening exploration of the dynamic relationship between historical Indigenous art objects and contemporary Indigenous art practices.

As part of the Awakening Memory exhibit, contemporary artists Sonny Assu, lessLIE and Marianne Nicolson will be responding to cultural belongings within the Royal BC Museum collection.

Please note that Museum Happy Hour events are limited to designated galleries and are not museum-wide. This event takes place in the First Peoples gallery on the third floor, and drinks will not be allowed in the gallery.

Drinks are available for purchase.

This is a 19+ only event. Valid photo ID is required for entry. To ensure the safety of our guests and museum collections alike, Security will conduct ID, bag and spot checks at the entrance. Prohibited items include any controlled substance, alcohol (not purchased at the event) and dangerous items. Any items not permitted at the event will be collected at the door prior to entry. The Royal BC Museum will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Security and Royal BC Museum staff reserve the right to refuse or revoke entry to guests. These decisions will be made to ensure the safety and security of other guests and the Royal BC Museum.

Please be advised that the Royal BC Museum will be taking photographs at this event for use in materials in support of the Royal BC Museum’s mandate.
