Gallery Intervention Event

Working in partnership with the Punjabi Intercultural History Advisory Committee, the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies at the University of the Fraser Valley and the David Lam Centre at Simon Fraser University, the Royal BC Museum invited members of Punjabi communities from the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island to stage an intervention in the Modern History Galleries' logging displays and reframe the historical narrative to include their poignant stories of logging and forestry in British Columbia.

During this event, the Royal BC Museum featured the oral history collection in the logging exhibition as community members inserted their stories into the gallery.
